Review Policy

PHconlab Inc. (the "Company") publishes below how product reviews are collected, displayed, and removed. This policy is provided under Article 21-4 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of the Republic of Korea.

1. Who can write a review

  • Only members who have purchased the product may write a review.
  • If no purchase record is found, the review form does not open.
  • If you purchase the same product more than once, you may write a review for each purchase.
  • Reviews may include photos and videos.

2. How long reviews stay visible

  • Reviews remain published with no time limit.
  • The Company does not remove a review simply because time has passed.
  • If you close your account, reviews are handled under the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
  • If a product is discontinued, its page and the reviews on it may no longer be visible.

3. Ratings and featured reviews

  • The Company does not operate a star rating system. Reviews are not scored.
  • There is no "best review" or "featured review" selection that moves particular reviews to the top.
  • Reviews appear in the order they were written. The Company does not reorder them.
  • A review is not promoted for being favourable, nor pushed down for being critical.

4. Why reviews from other products appear

  • When one work is sold in several formats — ebook and audiobook, for example — those products are treated as one group and share reviews.
  • Products in the same series also share reviews.
  • Each review is labelled with the product it was written for.
  • Korean product pages show Korean reviews only; English product pages show English reviews only.
  • The purpose is to keep reviews of the same work from being scattered across formats, which would make them less useful.

5. What gets removed or hidden

A review is removed or made private only in the following cases.

  1. It contains abusive, defamatory, or hateful language.
  2. It contains another person's private information (name, contact details, address, account numbers).
  3. It uses another party's copyrighted photo, video, or text without permission.
  4. It is advertising, promotion, or a link to an outside site unrelated to the product.
  5. It repeats the same content as spam.
  6. It states clear falsehoods that infringe the rights of the Company or another person.
  7. It contains obscene material or anything else unlawful to publish.
  8. The author has asked for it to be removed.

What does not get removed

  • A low opinion alone is never grounds for removal.
  • Being unfavourable or critical of the Company is never grounds for removal.
  • A review pointing out a product's flaws stays published unless it falls under 1–8 above.

6. Notice when a review is removed

  • When a review is removed or hidden, the Company notifies the author with the reason.
  • Notice is sent to the email address registered with the account.
  • Where the law requires immediate action, the Company may act first and notify afterwards.

7. How to appeal

  • If you disagree with a removal, write to hello@phconlab.com.
  • Including the review text, the approximate date, and the product name helps us find it quickly.
  • The Company replies with its findings within 7 business days of receiving the appeal.
  • If the review is found not to fall under the removal grounds, it is restored.
  • The Company keeps an internal record of removals and restorations.

8. Reviews written after receiving a benefit

  • Where a benefit could not have been obtained without writing a review — a free product, credit, or discount — or where a product was given away free as part of an event set up to gather reviews, that fact is disclosed on the review itself.
  • Coupons, discounts, gifts, prize draws, and first-come-first-served giveaways offered regardless of reviews are not subject to disclosure. This holds even when a request to write a review accompanies them.
  • Disclosure follows the endorsement and testimonial rules under the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising.
