About Express It With Your Body

Training Benefits
Learners practice communicating meaning through facial expressions, posture, and movement. The activity supports observation, cooperation, improvisation, and social interaction.
View Detailed Instructions
- Choose a category, game time, and prompt count. Prompt count can be set to 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30.
- If needed, use Edit Prompts to add or change prompts only in the selected category. Enter one prompt in each box. Empty boxes are ignored when applied.
- When Start is selected, a random prompt from the chosen category appears on the large card. The actor expresses the prompt without speaking, using gestures, facial expressions, and movement.
- Groups of 3 to 5 learners are recommended. Participants take turns acting within their group.
- The same team or the other team guesses which prompt is being acted out. The instructor uses Correct and Pass to guide the round. Pass may start at about 3 prompts and can be adjusted flexibly for the class.
- Each category remembers prompts used in previous rounds until the page is refreshed. If learners switch categories and return later, the remaining prompts in that category continue. The set is reshuffled only when the remaining prompts are fewer than the selected prompt count.
- Teams work through prompts within the selected time. The team with more correct answers wins. If the correct count is tied, the team with the shorter elapsed time may win.
- The result screen shows correct answers, passes, and elapsed time. Select Restart to return to the category, time, and prompt count setup screen.
- After the activity, discuss which movements gave useful clues and how the same prompt could be expressed in different ways.
