Is there no expert in your area?

[School of PH] operates under the philosophy that "Everyone inherently has the ability to sing well, a good voice, and the talent to express themselves, essential in the era of personal media. They just haven’t discovered it yet."

With this in mind, we wanted to help those who, due to various reasons such as the lack of an expert in their area, limited time or space, or other obstacles, are unable to access in-person lessons.

As a solution, since November 2018, we have been running an online professional vocal and speech (reading, narration, public speaking, voice correction, dialect coaching, etc.) training system via video calls for nearly six years.

We are grateful that many individuals from both overseas and within the country have taken our lessons and achieved satisfying results. We hope this can be of great help to those who are unable to attend in-person lessons for various reasons.

Can I achieve results through a video call?

Of course, since this is a lesson format that many people are experiencing for the first time, there are naturally many questions.

However, many participants from both overseas and within the country who have taken the lessons found the effectiveness of the content to be the same and achieved satisfying results.

In an era when time is precious, you can actually save time while improving your skills, catching two birds with one stone.

Three Benefits of Online Training

1. Saves money and time.

2. People in remote areas or overseas can also take lessons. (No geographical limitations)

3. Solves long-standing concerns, leading to confidence and enjoyment.

Would you like to find the joy of expressing yourself with School of PH?

One-Point Lesson Video Program

This program involves sending a video of yourself
singing, giving a speech, or reading aloud,
along with any questions you’ve been curious about, filmed from the waist up.

Based on that video,
we will create and send you
a 5-10 minute one-on-one, one-point lesson video.

1. You will receive an assessment of your current state and be informed of any bad habits you may have.

2. Based on your individual situation, we will provide the practice methods you need right now.

3. We will answer any questions you’ve been curious about.

These days, there is countless information online, and thanks to this information, many people have been able to practice on their own and improve their skills.

However, However, one limitation of online information is that it tends to address only general advice applicable to the public, even though each individual has unique traits and habits.

Moreover, with so much information available, many people struggle to find the practice methods that are right for them and that they need right now.

For most people, it is crucial to know one or two practice methods essential right now and practice them consistently.

When I observed participants who received training, I saw that many of their issues were resolved, and their skills improved.

Therefore, my answer to the question, “Can my skills improve with a short one-point lesson?” is, of course, “Yes!!”

The quality of video recording and viewing equipment has improved significantly.

From the perspective of the trainer, if we can accurately observe just two things — the participant’s voice and appearance — we can easily identify their habits.

With today’s technology, there is no shortage in capturing these two aspects through video. The same applies to the person receiving the lesson, right?

So, the answer to the question, “Is the video lesson effective?” is also a clear “Yes.”

Online Video Training Program

This is an online video training program where you can learn everything about your voice,
including vocals, speeches, readings, narration, public speaking, voice improvement, and accent correction.

Typically, the program runs once a week for one hour,
but this can be adjusted according to the participant’s schedule.

Many people are curious about this part. From conducting numerous lessons, participants have experienced similar improvements in their skills, received satisfactory results, and thankfully left good reviews.

The reason for this is that the prices of personal equipment have dropped, and the quality has improved significantly. For instance, smartphone cameras now offer quality comparable to that of DSLR cameras, and the sound quality is even higher than that of the recording devices we once bought for high prices.

Additionally, thanks to faster internet speeds, lessons can be conducted without interruptions. I was able to have smooth lessons for over three months with someone living in China.

From the perspective of the teacher, if we can accurately observe just two things — the participant’s voice and appearance — we can easily identify their habits. With today’s technology, there is no shortage in capturing these aspects through video. The same applies to the person receiving the lesson, right?

Because everyone has many different characteristics, habits, and tones, it’s not possible to conduct lessons with the same curriculum for everyone. Therefore, through a thorough pre-consultation, we set the areas participants want to improve and the direction they need to move toward.

Vocal training is conducted by bringing a song the participant wants to sing well or often sings. After identifying the strengths and weaknesses, we suggest the necessary practice methods and proceed with training together.

The reason for vocal exercises is ultimately to apply them to singing, so I recommend working on a song together. Based on the progress made during the lesson, we might also work on different songs for training each week.

For speech training, if you bring a script you can read (such as a book, newspaper, script, or presentation material), we will identify strengths and weaknesses, then suggest the necessary practice methods and train together.

The video calls are conducted using a program (app) called Google Meet.

It is available on both smartphones and PCs (though if using a PC, you need a microphone and webcam).

A link to join the session will be provided before the lesson.

Since the training is conducted via online video call, you can choose any location that is convenient for you.

So far, participants have taken lessons from locations such as their home, personal studio, practice room, and coin karaoke rooms.

For vocal training, you can bring a song you want to sing well or a song you often sing.

Accompaniment is not strictly necessary during the lesson, but if you would like to ude backing, you can prepare an extra device to play it. (For example, if you’re conducting the lesson with a smartphone, you can prepare an extra smartphone or a computer.)

For speech training, you can prepare a script that you can read (such as a book, newspaper, script, or presentation material).

Since there are various factors, such as individual differences and how much the student practices on a regular basis, it’s difficult to specify an exact timeframe.

For example, some students may see improvement after just one lesson, while others may not.

However, based on conducting many lessons, if we assume the student practices regularly and attends lessons once a week, we can give you an average estimate:

It takes at least one month to become aware of your strengths and weaknesses and to gradually learn how to practice.

To feel that your skills have improved, it usually takes at least three months.
